“There will be two concerts held at the LMP’s new home St John the Evangelist at 2pm and 4.15pm with soloist and founder of Bach to Baby, Miaomiao Yu, performing a movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.21 as part of this exciting all-Mozart programme
“This is a natural partnership between two organisations with matching synergies; bringing outstanding, world-class musicians to local communities in an accessible, welcoming and professional environment.”
A press release announcing the event adds: Bach to Baby has established a critically acclaimed classical concert series with over 40 concerts every month across London and the South East. Enjoyed by the whole family from ages 0-99, and with a commitment to outstanding musicians and programming that wouldn’t be out of place at the world’s top concert halls, Bach to Baby is known for their expertise in providing high-quality classical events. Touring is a major part of the orchestra’s schedule and the LMP plays an active part in contemporary music, giving world premières and commissioning new works.
In July 2016, LMP relocated their offices to St John the Evangelist in Upper Norwood to become an orchestra embedded within a living community, where they are reaching new audiences and further developing their highly-regarded education and community outreach programme, LMP Voyager.
