“Fancy dress in encouraged or just join us in suitable attire. “The first modern Olympiad was held at Crystal Palace park in 1866, and to help celebrate the 150th anniversary of this momentous occasion, our event will be themed on Victorian costume for those who want to join the fun” says the community mile website.
“All the normal park facilities are available, including toilets and catering, and for those who need stronger refreshments the Bridge House tavern is located next to the start and finish line.
“There will be other themed entertainment on the day, and we assure all of you of a thoroughly enjoyable time on this momentous occasion and worthwhile charity event.”
