Police have raided what they say was a suspected cannabis factory in the Triangle – but found no plants there.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Officers from the Crystal Palace Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) attended a flat above premises in Westow Street, SE19 on Friday 18 October, after receiving reports that the flat was being used as a cannabis factory.
“Officers discovered various items associated with the production of cannabis, including insulation, ventilators and de-humidifier machines in the flat, although there were no cannabis plants present and the flat appeared to have been recently vacated.
“There have been no arrests at this stage and enquiries are ongoing.”
Anyone with information should contact the Crystal Palace Triangle SNT on 020 8721 2906.
SHARE YOUR SKILLS!
A local project is looking for people who would be willing to share their skills with their community.
Greeniversity helps people share and learn new skills. Teachers are ordinary people who volunteer their time to host a class on their chosen hobby, for example woodwork, growing food, foraging, knitting, or bike maintenance. Greeniversity classes in each area are promoted online where people can sign up for a free class.
You don’t have to have any formal teaching qualifications and classes are informal and relaxed.
To get involved as a group leader or teacher, or if you know of premises where classes can be held, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.greeniversity.org.uk. (Source: Lewisham council press release)
