PEOPLES AUDIT LAMBETH ON SUNDAY POLITICS SHOW
Peoples Audit Lambeth are featuring on the Sunday Politics show this weekend – BBC1 at 11am.
Their revelations of financial mismanagement within Lambeth council and the wasting of millions of pounds of taxpayers money have prompted an outburst of anger on social media.
Lambeth Labour party have posted this response on their Twitter page:
“The budget analysis by the self-proclaimed Peoples Audit has proved to be deeply flawed and none of its claims have been upheld by an extensive and independent audit. The Peoples Audit is a collection of senior politicians from the Liberal Democrats and the Greens and while it is right that our budget is open to scrutiny by our political opponents, senior politicians should be more transparent about their motives and agendas. Local people do not like attempts by the Lib Dems and the Greens to pull the wool over their eyes and they will not be fooled by this.”
To which one of the ‘armchair auditors’ Michael Keane has replied to to @LambethLabour
“Are you claiming Green Councillor launched @PeoplesAudit ? I’m one of the founders and was a Labour supporter at the time.”Not any more.”
