“NEW LABOUR IS CHANGING LAMBETH FOR GOOD……” (and we’ve never wanted to shut Carnegie library)
The following Lambeth council leaflet, dating back from circa 1999 when Cllr Jim Dickson was Labour leader, has emerged which News From Crystal Palace reproduces without comment:
ALL THAT GLITTERS……..
Lambeth council’s press release ‘Lambeth to review public meetings following disruptive behaviour’
(August 10th 2016) categorically states: “There have been incidents of glitter being thrown directly into a council officer’s face.”
This alleged incident appears to have happened at a planning committee meeting on the Brixton Arches which News from Crystal Palace didn’t attend.
But the reporter from the Brixton Buzz website did attend and is adamant no such incident took place. (Please see: Brixton Arches campaigners react angrily to Lambeth’s “smear campaign” by Mike Urban August 9, 2016)
Police apparently attended this meeting. If they had witnessed such an incident then surely they would have intervened immediately and restrained the alleged assailant……..???
HOW MANY LIBRARIES?
