MEANWHILE, IN BROMLEY…….
Residents plan to release a “dossier of council failings” in October – after putting up what they say will be hundreds of estate agents-style boards this week.
The group made up of Bromley residents say they will be exposing a catalogue of problems in Bromley which just aren’t being addressed by the council and in many cases are a direct result of the decisions being made by councillors.
I’m Backing Bromley say thousands of residents from across the borough of Bromley have also signed up to their petition calling on councillors to stop failing the people of Bromley and stop victimising whistle-blowers.
Campaign spokesperson and resident Sophie Dawes said: “ Thousands of people from Bromley have had enough of the council’s failures and want action.
“Rather than engage with us, Bromley’s Tory councillors are doing their best to ignore us, hoping we will go away. “They have even blocked us on social media and questioned whether we are residents.”
“It’s time for Bromley’s elected representatives to stop burying their heads in the sand and to take our concerns about the treatment of whistle-blowers and the treatment of the old, young and vulnerable seriously.
“We are not going anywhere, in fact we will still be here in 2018 when councillors are up for election.”
