Loony Lambeth – Three: OPINION: TELL ME LIES, TELL ME LIES, TELL ME MORE LAMBETH LIES…..*
Lambeth council’s claims that an elderly brother and sister’s home had living room walls covered in mould have been exposed as a pack of lies.
In that case how can we trust ANY statement by ANY Lambeth Labour councillor that ANY of the six estates they want to demolish in prime locations actually have anything wrong with them?
The revelations about Lambeth’s lies come in the same week as:
- Suggestions that wannabe Labour council candidates in Lambeth had their names REMOVED from selection lists after being asked if they had signed the Lambeth libraries petition – and said ‘Yes’ they had.
- Conservative opposition leader Cllr Tim Briggs revealed that Labour councillors receive £350,000 of office and administrative support every year, along with £1.5 million of support from the communications department.
- News that Lambeth are (very quietly) spending £1.339m capital funding for a fleet replacement programme for Lambeth Landscapes – Lambeth’s Direct Services Organisation covering the maintenance of parks and open spaces.”This will replace stock purchased Veolia in 2004 that is now well beyond its expected operational life and is costing a disproportionate amount in terms of maintenance and servicing” says a council report.
