Meat by Jacob’s Ladder Farms: 20% off sausages – made with organic pork from the lovely Fidelity Weston’s farm near Sevenoaks. Perfect for toad in the hole. Jacob’s Ladder are a collective of tiny organic and biodynamic farms in East Sussex and Kent that farm using traditional methods with rare breed animals, and come together to sell at Crystal Palace Food Market, the only market that Jacob’s Ladder now attend. Help to support these tiny farms whilst knowing that animal welfare is always top of their list.

So many pies this week, it’s obscene, come get ’em. Ham, pastrami, bacon, ‘nduja, crackling, salami, Beer Sticks and air-dried muscle meats sliced by Elliot’s fair hand this week. Ham sarnies as ever, with rolls provided by Chas = yum.

There’s fresh stock of bright and cheery violas in a range of colours and at last it’s the proper time for Cyclamen (love them but they shouldn’t show their faces until autumn is definitely here).
Teas – the range is expanding and this week we have organic lemon balm. Soothing, sleep inducing and delicately lemony it makes the perfect night time cuppa. Still working on some new blends and hoping to have a couple ready for market this weekend.
Want to recycle your old plant pots? I am very excited to announce that customers can now return their plastic pots to me at Gipsy Hill Herbs for recycling! It would be very much appreciated if they are clean when returned.” All plants grown with minimal environmental impact on a small independent nursery in Wallington. Sustainably caught fish from Veasey’s: Dan says “Seafood Week by Seafish and FishIsTheDish starts today, every day they champion a different seafood. Today’s (Friday) is the humble cod [when buying cod please ensure you know it has come from a small day boat rather than a large ‘trip trawler’], tomorrow (Saturday) it will be mussels so we will be sure to have plenty of them on the stall. Lots of flat fish still around this week, we are seeing the plaice developing a little roe already, the roe can be served with the fish or kept aside and fried up and eaten for another meal. We have had a very good morning of fishing in regards to cod so expect a pile of freshly filleted cod at a great price!

Great for freezing), whole plaice, perfect plump fish caught in Newhaven only £6.95kg, prime brill, turbot and soles will all be great prices, Cornish mussels, rope grown in Porthilly £6.00kg. It also contains all the amino acids including GLA which is a great anti-inflammatory and has a range of other vitamins and minerals including lots of B-vitamins!
