CRYSTAL PALACE PAINTING ON SALE AT CHRISTIE’S
A painting of the Crystal Palace from around 1860 goes under the hammer at Christie’s South Kensington auction house next week (Wednesday 22nd).
The work, by an unknown artist, is expected to sell for between £20,000 and £30,000.
The auction at 85 Old Brompton Road starts at 2pm (Lots 1 – 115).
Viewing takes place on: 18 Mar, 11am – 5pm; 19 Mar, 11am – 5pm; 20 Mar, 9am – 7:30pm and 21 Mar, 9am – 5pm.
….AND SPINNEY GARDENS IS UP FOR SALE
The small estate was the subject of a highly contentious planning application back in 2011 eventually turned down on appeal.
The lot numbers and auctioneers description says:
Lot 135 – The property comprises 30 flats each sold off on a long lease and rent charges on 16 houses.
Lot 136 – The property comprises a plot of land which extends to 0.16 hectares (0.39 acres) and which may afford development potential.
The auction takes place at the Cumberland Hotel, Great Cumberland Place, LondonW1H 7DL at 10 am.
