CRY WOLF! LAMBETH’S PROPAGANDA LIES OVER TORY GOVERNMENT CUTBACKS EXPOSED
NO MONEY FOR LIBRARIES OR ESTATE REPAIRS – AS TENS OF MILLIONS GO INTO BANKS AND BUILDING SOCIETIES and this is NOT an April Fool…..
Lambeth council put more than £100 million into banks and building societies for the financial year ended March 2016 – that’s on top of another £100 million they paid into building societies in the previous 12 months.
The figures – revealed in Lambeth’s draft budget accounts – show that
there IS money to properly fund libraries and
there IS money to repair the six estates they have decided to demolish
It’s just that in the 12 months to March 2016 they have put just under £8 million into banks and £98 million into building societies instead.
None of the tens of millions of pounds paid in by Lambeth was to cover any debt – the only such loans Lambeth have is to the Public Works Loan Board, the Government ‘bank’.
The Balance: Lambeth’s bank overdraft is zero.

LAMBETH VOTED ‘TOP LONDON COUNCIL’ – Praise from American group
Lambeth council have been voted ‘Top London council’ by a London-based American group.
The group said it was particularly impressed by Lambeth council’s democratic vision and its regard for culture and peoples rights.
Lambeth beat off stiff competition from Richmond, Barnet and Walford Forest to win the award.
Tammany Hall, spokeswoman for the group – the recently-formed Independent Democratic Institute of Trump Supporters (London) – said: “We were very impressed with their support for a gym in the Carnegie library, Herne Hill and in the Minet library and archives in Brixton.
“And their plans for council estates such as Westbury and Knights Walk showed real foresight and imagination.
“We also particularly liked the way Lambeth dealt with Freedom of Information requests by just refusing virtually all of them and their attitude to dissenters.
“Lambeth councillors have called them Trots, misogynists, racists, non-residents, and a small group of protesters – but we’d just call anyone who disagrees with our hero Donald Trump ‘Goddamned Commie pinkos.’
“And as for saying they have no money for libraries or repairing council estates and putting millions into banks and building societies instead…Priceless.
“We’ve been told our award will take pride of place in the reception area of Lambeth’s new town hall. “We hope that when Donald Trump visits England he may get a chance to see it”
The award is being presented at a ceremony in the City of London by its Mayor, Sir Richard Whittington today (Saturday).
