They are taking over the former Casa Cuba premises at the top of Belvedere Road.
A leaflet in the window there promises brunches and lunches, coffees, cakes, gluten free/ vegan yummies and wine and beer. No opening date yet but decorators were busy painting the outside of the premises today (Friday).
PUBLIC SPACE PROTECTION ORDERS – HAVE YOUR SAY
Croydon Safer Partnership (CSP) are currently developing a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO).
A PSPO gives police and the local authority new powers to tackle certain ASB (anti-social behaviour) in designated areas (under the new Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Behaviour Act (2014) .
Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) are intended to deal with a particular nuisance or problem in a particular area that is detrimental to the local community’s quality of life, by imposing conditions on the use of that area which apply to everyone.
Our first PSPO will be in Croydon town centre. Before we go out to consult, we are conducting an engagement exercise to establish what types of behaviour people think are an issue (if at all) in Croydon town centre.
You can complete the questionnaire at: www.croydon.gov.uk/pspo (Source: People for Portland Road)
