THE 2014 Crystal Palace Overground festival will run from June 26th to June 29th this year.
The festival will start with fringe events on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th around Crystal Palace in anticipation of the main big festival weekend.
Westow Park will be the main festival hub on Saturday 28 with Sunday 29 focusing around the Upper Norwood Triangle.
Last year 155 performers and artists took part and 60 events were held throughout the area – a new record for traders and venues getting involved in the festival.
A festival spokesperson said: “Festival goers can look forward to a festival feast of performing arts, crafts, holistic and sports activities, live music, DJs and food stalls, plus antique, craft and vintage shopping throughout the Crystal Palace Triangle.”
The festival is a free event that relies on volunteers, sponsorship, fundraising and the support of the local community. It is run entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers and is sponsored by local businesses.

Organisers of the Overground festival are calling for sponsors to make this year’s music and arts festival the best yet.
The free festival will be held at venues across Crystal Palace and the Upper Norwood Triangle on 26 – 29 June 2014and feature live bands, performing arts, stalls and many more fun attractions for all the family to enjoy.
Last year more than 6,000 people flocked to Crystal Palace to attend the festival, which is now in its eighth year and organised by a team of community-loving volunteers.
Companies and individuals are being invited to support and sponsor the festival to help cover various costs, including festival infrastructure and marketing.
“There are a range of sponsorship packages to suit all pockets, from advertising in the What’s On Guide to being overall lead sponsor” said a festival spokesperson.
“Sponsor benefits include brand exposure via print and outdoor media, online media, public relations and community relations.”
Festival director Noreen Meehan said: “With the festival and the majority of its content being free we rely on the local businesses to support it.
“The Transmitter magazine, Smash Bang Wallop and Westow House have already pledged their support, with the team working hard to find other sponsors to ensure the festival goes ahead.”
The early bird £ discount deadline for advertising in the What’s On Guide is Saturday March 15th and the final deadline is Friday April 5th.

The Overground festival is also looking for bands, artists and performers of any genre for this year’s event (26-29 June, 2014). All acts should be available to perform on Saturday, 28 June at Westow Park.
Closing date for entries is Sunday, 23 March, 2014 and all confirmed bands, artists and performers will be notified in mid-April.
